Created with the designers of Bentley Motors, it is inspired by the signature cut-crystal glass headlights of the Continental GT and features the legendary “Flying B” logo engraved on its silver metal shoulders. The stability of the heavy 400-gramme bottle is ensured by a thick glass base, and the elegant box is covered in a soft-touch leather grain paper. With a colour palette of green and mustard yellow, Wild Vetiver conjures up images of lush rainforests, ancient stone temples, serene rice plantations and smouldering volcanoes, all part of the teeming riches found on the island of Java. Perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur evokes it all through the region’s most beautiful gift to perfumery, Vetiver, which is extracted from the roots of a bush that grows wild in Indonesia. Vetiver essence is so rich it is a perfume in itself, and in Wild Vetiver, its citrusy facets are enhanced by sparkling top notes of Bergamot and Pepper, which then give way to a heart of Verbena adding its green, anise-based sweetness to its rounded, nut-like nuances. As deep and dark as the volcanic earth of the island, Vetiver’s smoky mineral notes blend with a subtle accord of birch and amber wood in the dry-down, rounding out this stunningly elegant Aromatic-Woody fragrance.
